Mission Statement

Keep Santa Monica Local is a grassroots orginization dedicated to protecting affordable housing and preserving the rich history and community of Santa Monica. We are fighting to prevent the displacement of residents in our own building and beyond, advocating for housing security, tenant rights, and equitable policies that prioritize people over profit.

We recognize that the housing crisis in Santa Monica disproportionately impacts working families, seniors, and underserved communities, stripping away not only homes but also the deep bonds and memories that make a neighborhood a community. Our mission extends beyond our building to support others in our city who are also at risk of losing their homes, ensuring that housing remains a human right for all.
